The Firmament

This piece was written in 2005, and it requires another performer to run the electronics. There are seven sliders that control the granular synthesis for this piece. The piece has a couple of technically challenging moments for the bassoon but overall has long rhythmic durations and does not have an extreme range. This piece would be a possibility for many undergraduate students. The patch was unattainable, so further comment on the electronics is impossible. The composer can be contacted at his website.
